Overview

Holiday parks are large consumers of energy as they seek to satisfy the heating needs of guests around the clock, often for 12 months of the year. However, much of the energy used to provide heating at a holiday park is generally wasted, since guests often vacate their accommodation daily, pursuing a myriad of different leisure activities.

Further wastage is also accumulated when accommodation lies vacant in between bookings because house keeping has failed to turn down the thermostat.

With constantly rising utility rates, this highly inefficient pattern of heating within the sector, serves only to erode profits exponentially year on year.

NexGen Products are the exclusive UK distributors of the ICY 1845 Intelligent Thermostat and the ICY Control Centre - Wireless Accommodation Management System (WAMS).

No more wastefully heating accommodation when guests are not present. The 1845 Intelligent Thermostat uses a built-in motion sensor and light sensor, consequently only heating the accommodation when required. Furthermore, all thermostats can be networked using the wireless ICY-Net and controlled from anywhere in the world via the ICY Control Centre (ICY-CC).

The heating pattern can be made 100% efficient since not only does the Intelligent Thermostat regulate the heating when accommodation is occupied, but the ICY-CC can be linked to the Reservation Software; heating accommodation to room temperature on the expected future arrival of a guest and similarly shutting down the heating on the date of guest departure.

Customers who have incorporated the ICY Wireless Accommodation Management System have reported savings ranging from 20% to 50%
