With one Intelligent Thermostat fitted per bedroom or per house, the 1837/1845TT models use a motion sensor and a light sensor to detect human presence. When no movement is detected, or the room light has been switched off on vacating the room, the thermostat will automatically set back the temperature to a preset Dormant Temperature.
What's more, is that should the student not return to the accommodation for a prolonged amount of time, say 12 hours, the thermostat will acknowledge this and presume the accommodation is vacant; setting back the temperature from the Dormant Mode to the Anti-Frost Mode, of say 7'C. Consequently, the accommodation will no longer be heated unnecessarily when a student has left for the weekend or gone home over the holidays; resulting in a massive saving and peace of mind that everything is operating as it should be.
